OUR UPCOMING
PERFORMANCES
FORECAST: WIND BLOWING STRONGLY!
The windy season is almost over for 2026! After our successful Shaken Not Stirred shows in Adelaide and beyond, we presented a public performance in support of the 2026 St Columba’s Church Annual Fête. Director Josie put together a program of old and new pieces from our repertoire to showcase our growing musicianship and amaze and amuse the fête visitors.
Sorry if you couldn't come and join us on a glorious (rain-free!) Saturday 10 October when we played between 10 am and 12 noon. Our audience had the opportunity of picking up something to drink and nibble and also spend some time hunting down a bargain in one of the stalls, all in support of a good cause.
SHAKEN...NOT STIRRED

In collaboration with the Maitland Rotary Club and Barley Stacks Wines, Second-Wind Ensemble presented our successful show on Sunday 9 August between 1 pm and 4 pm.
Sorry if you missed out on our 2026 showcase performances. We will present a final free public band concert for 2026 in support of the St Columba Church Annual Fête on Saturday 10 October 2026.
LUNCH ON THE LAWNS
Remember those Summer days!
The Second-Wind Ensemble was invited to help entertain visitors to the beautiful gardens of Government House on 7th November last year. We played an extended playlist with many favourites, and the immediate feedback from our audience was fantastic. It was also wonderful to be welcomed to the gardens personally by the Governor, who affirmed the value of community-based music activity in enhancing well-being.
Lunch on the Lawns was held in the grounds of Government House, North Terrace, Adelaide
on selected Fridays from 12 noon to 2.00 pm until May 2026
Visit the Government House website for more information.
FROM A RECENT PERFORMANCE...
This short musical excerpt was taken from the very successful May performance of the Summer of Love show in the Latvian Hall in 2025, which featured Adelaide singer/actor Mark Oates. This short recording is taken from the Summer of '69 medley, music arranged by Ted Ricketts.
