OUR 2025 PERFORMANCE YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
"The Summer of Love" is coming!
We have been working on our next annual music showcase event ("music with a dash of theatricality") for 2025. And the date is set! Mark your calendar now for Sunday 18 May at 3pm.
Rumours have it that there will be some flashbacks to the events of the late 1960's, counterculture and flower children...and the Summer of Love! Follow our "Blow!" blog series for more information.

THE SUMMER OF LOVE
You got in the groove!! Tickets have sold out for our annual 2025 showcase event!
We're taking a groovy trip back to a time of peace, music, and cultural revolution - a period within living memory (for some of us!) that left an indelible mark on our culture. The performance will feature renowned South Australian singer/actor Mark Oates in an original musical tale crafted by the band's talented Music Director Josie Hawkes, OAM, inspired by the legendary summer of Woodstock in 1969.

FROM A PAST PERFORMANCE...
On 8th October 2022, the Second-Wind Ensemble was invited to perform in the Mitcham Band Festival. This was our first public performance with our newly appointed Music Director, Josie Hawkes OAM. Our playlist included a couple of challenging lively pieces, including our finale, "Earth, Wind and Fire Dance Mix" and you can tell that the band had a blast!
